Bundoora Farm Park Excursion with Templestowe Valley – On Thursday may 4th Harvey and Tushar from P1 were very fortunate to go on an excursion to Bundoora Farm Park with all the year one students from Templestowe Valley Primary School.
They stepped back in time and saw how, in the olden days, people lived.
They printed their names the old fashioned way using individual letters and a press, visited an old school house, sat in an old school desk with an ink pot and wrote with a quill.
They fed a draught horse called Ben carrots and play old fashioned games such as quoits, skittles and throwing a gum boot.
They looked through a family house that didn’t have any electricity and how people managed using an ice box for a fridge and a gramophone that you had to turn for playing music.
It was a very exhausting day but the boys had lots of fun learning about the past.
