Education Week saw us “Building Connections” on both a literal and metaphorical level. The Lego Challenge at MRC involved building connections with bricks and working with peers to follow a set criteria. Careers Day celebrated people of all different walks of life. Students created careers poster and enjoyed listening to presentations from ex-students. The Guess Who exhibition was a major success and was extended by a day in response to students’ request. The interactive exhibition connected the school’s past and present by means of old relics display and childhood photos of staff. The School Captain and Vice Captain held a vote earlier this year to find out students’ incursion preferences for school events. Subsequently, a Hip Hop Incursion was organised for all the students. Students got down with the latest moves and dressed up in awesome costumes as they expressed themselves. Emphasis was given on confidence building and ‘giving it a go’. They all had a fun week!
