We have had an exciting year so far with our first ever Archibald Art exhibition, inspired by the annual Australian event of the same name. The event was part of the Education and Autism week celebrations. Every student in the school made an artwork which was a representation and expression of themselves, a self-portrait. Students’ representation of their faces were displayed using different techniques; drawing, painting, printing, mosaic, collage and photography. Just like the Archibald, students were awarded prizes, voted by their peers, families and staff. There was a real buzz when families were invited for a viewing which was followed by an afternoon tea. We further celebrate students’ artistic achievements with families through the school newsletter, website and Seesaw.
