MRC School Captain Speeches

In a vibrant display of democracy in action, secondary students participated in the process of electing their next school captain! After attentively listening to speeches delivered by their Year 12 peers, secondary students participated in voting for their next school captains.   A group of students then counted the votes, knowing that their choices would shape the student leadership for the year. This democratic exercise not only instilled valuable lessons in civic engagement but also empowered students to have a voice and agency in shaping their schooling environment.   As the results were announced, anticipation hung in the air, giving way to jubilant cheers as the newly elected school captain stepped forward, ready to embrace the responsibilities and privileges of their esteemed role. This moment encapsulated the essence of school pride and self-awareness, as students recognized the importance of leadership rooted in empathy, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve others and uphold the values that define their school’s identity.
